Skip Hire
John Williamson 1988 provides skips for both our commercial and domestic customers, with a range of skips depending on your requirements. 8 and 12 yard skips are priced online for homes and trade, and larger roll on roll off skips are available up to 40 cube.
We recycle as much waste as possible following Zero Waste Scotland policies, and offer waste management advice to current and future customers.
Waste Management Services
We can provide you with advice on waste minimisation and best practice for reducing waste and maximising recycling.
That includes how to segregate your waste and which skips are most suitable for your particular requirements.
Scrap Metal Recycling
We buy and sell all ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal.
As part of our commitment to the circular economy we promote as much up-cycling as possible. Ex-oilfield pipe is used as piling in construction, ex heavy mooring chain is used in fish farming and as ballast weights for creel fishermen, and offshore transport containers get a second lease of life as storage units, alongside the traditional re-use of surplus angle, plate and beams.
Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
The ever growing problem of how to dispose of electrical equipment. We identify which materials can be recycled and keep them out of the waste stream.
Electronics are split into their different components to be sent on for further recycling or refining for precious metal recovery.
End of Life Vehicles (ELVs)
We have specialist de-pollution equipment for ELVs, draining off waste fluids such as oil, petrol, diesel and coolant before batteries, tyres, aluminium wheels, catalytic converters and engines are removed.
Please bring: the V5 registration document or MOT certificate, your photo ID (driving licence or passport) plus a utility bill, and your bank details (sort code and account number) so that we can pay you.
Offshore Decommissioning Projects
John Williamson 1988 has been carrying out decommissioning projects for the last 30 years, both small and large scale, for onshore and offshore clients.
We use specialist equipment to flush and de-pollute oilfield equipment before we cut and recycle it, specialising in wellheads, umbilicals and flowlines.
Reusable Materials & Up-cycling
The Natdian Recycling Centre site hosts a variety of reusable materials, some bought in for resale and others recovered from our own scrap recycling operations.
Stock includes steel plate, chain in a variety of sizes, containers, H beams and box section, available to private, commercial and industrial customers at a reduced cost compared with buying new.
