Energy & decommissioning

Offshore & decommissioning

Thirty years of decommissioning work for onshore and offshore clients, carried out on our own licensed sites with specialist equipment.

Offshore steel jacket structure landed for decommissioning

Structures & landed equipment

Jackets, modules, skids and topside steel are landed, dismantled and processed on site, with material handlers, shears and cutting crews working to an agreed sequence.

Everything is weighed and recorded so clients get a clear account of the tonnage recovered and recycled.

Steel umbilical reel wound with subsea line awaiting flushing

Umbilicals, flowlines & reels

We use specialist equipment to safely flush and de-pollute umbilicals, flowlines and wellheads before any cutting takes place.

Reels are then cut down and separated into steel, copper, thermoplastics and other fractions for onward recycling.

Operative hot cutting a large steel structure in the decommissioning bay

Cutting & processing

Hot cutting, shearing and baling take place within fully cemented yards, keeping contamination controlled throughout the process.

Recovered material is graded, containerised and sold on into the recycling and re-use markets.

Crew processing a large steel structure into recyclable sections

Re-use where possible

Not everything needs to be melted down. Ex-oilfield pipe, chain, containers and structural steel are routinely put back to work in construction, fish farming and inshore fishing.
